Energy-efficient operation and power-saving features

The Plusrite 30W Solar Slim Area Light runs entirely on solar power via inbuilt mono-crystalline solar panels (no mains power connection or electrical infrastructure required). This provides a low maintenance, clean energy option for locations with limited or no access to mains power, and projects with sustainability in mind.

The inbuilt 18V rechargeable lithium battery reaches full charge in just 4-6 hours providing an extended discharge time of 20-36 hours. The built-in dusk-to-dawn sensor provides an automated, seamless day-to-night transition. The microwave motion sensor detects movement at up to 20 metres (saving energy between people movement and traffic); illuminating at 100% brightness for 2 minutes, before dimming back to 30% where no further movement is detected. This offers reduced running time and preserved battery life.

The Plusrite 30W Solar Slim Area Light will run and perform consistently, everyday, for the life of the unit. It also features a manual ON/OFF button which is perfect for shut down periods or holidays (where applicable), conserving the unit when not in use.

Neutral 4K illumination with expansive area coverage

At Plusrite, we use only high-grade LED chips by established trusted brands to ensure reliability, longevity and performance. The Plusrite 30W Solar Slim Area Light features premium Philips 5050 LED chips, producing a powerful 6000lm (lumens) at 4K (4000K) illumination to cut through dust, fog and bad weather in open outdoor spaces. It has a colour rendering index (CRI) of >80, for precise colour accuracy.

The 4K colour temperature gives a neutral white light. It keeps surroundings clear and easy to read for driving, walking and working outside, with less of the blue-white look of 6000K. It is a popular choice near homes, parks and paths where a softer light is preferred. Need a cooler light? The same fitting is available in 6000K as the 30W Solar Slim Area Light 6000K. The Type III beam angle distributes light in a wide, asymmetrical pattern to cover larger or irregularly shaped spaces effectively, minimising wasted light in the area directly below the unit.

The Plusrite 30W Solar Slim Area Light comes with a custom bracket allowing adjustability of between 15°-30° angles. The bracket is designed to fit on top of a light pole of 60-76mm diameter and is compatible with all Plusrite Street Light Poles.

Protected for durability and longevity in the elements

The Plusrite 30W Solar Slim Area Light is built for durability with die cast aluminium construction and a powder-coated anti-corrosion coating. The high ingress protection rating of IP65 provides high-rated protection against solid particles and water ingress; shielding the electrical enclosure from rain, wind and dust. The IK08 impact resistance rating allows it to sustain hard knocks (similar to the impact of 1.7 kg dropped from 300mm) without damage, ensuring ongoing reliability and extended life.

The Plusrite 30W Solar Slim Area Light is built to Australian Standards, is SAA Certified (Electrical Product Safety Approval Certification) and compliant with RCM (Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS). It is also compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances or Directive 2002/95/EC), CE (EU) standards and complies with AS/NZS 1158.3.1:2020 Sufficient Visibility for Public Use and Safety.
