Three phase installation is recommended for faster home charging and almost all commercial sites. It pairs with our Plusrite 22kW Three Phase EV Charger and adds approximately 120km of range per hour of charging. Three phase installs cost more because of the additional cabling, switchboard work and circuit protection involved.

A small number of sites need additional work which is quoted separately and only proceeds with your written approval. Common extras include a weatherproof sub-board setup (from $410, may be required if your existing switchboard is full or the charger is far from the main switchboard), a switchboard upgrade ($400 to $1,500), additional cable run beyond the included 20 metres, double storey or non-standard properties (quoted on inspection), after hours work, and three phase supply upgrades. Do I need a licensed electrician to install an EV charger?
Yes. EV chargers must be installed by a licensed electrician to meet AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules and your state’s electrical safety requirements. Plusrite installations are always carried out by licensed electricians through our trusted installer network.
How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most standard single phase installs take 2 to 3 hours. Three phase installs typically take 3 to 5 hours. Lead time from order to install booking is generally 2 to 3 weeks.
Do you install in my city?

Can I install an EV charger myself?
