Each Plusrite EV charger comes with RFID cards for initiating ‘swipe to start’ charging. RFID cards can be programmed with passwords to manage access and prevent unauthorised use, ideal for added security at home and for applications where there are multiple users or EVs (such as commercial fleets) with frequent changeovers.
Use of the RFID card feature is optional and it can be turned on/off at any time via the App. Five RFID cards are provided with each charger, with more available on request (please enquire).
Plusrite EV chargers feature LED indicator lights that provide live feedback so with a quick glance you can see charging progress and be notified when charging is complete. Our portable model features a 4.3-inch LCD touch-screen (charge indicator incorporated) with a clear, high-quality display. Operate your EV charger easily in the day, night, sun or rain.
Plusrite EV chargers feature a 6-metre charging cable, longer than some other brands/manufacturers. This extra length provides easier access, safety and versatility when needed in homes and commercial locations (handy for swift for EV changeovers). Our portable EV charger has a total length of 7 metres as standard, with longer customised cable lengths available on request by contacting the Plusrite team.
All models feature Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity allowing you to control your EV charger remotely, customise and monitor your usage and ensure secure, authorised charging.
The smart app is available to download via Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iPhone, iPad/Mac). View charger status, schedule charging, update firmware and set configurations such as charge current and dynamic load balancing (DLB). Manage your time by pre-programming your charge settings and monitor charging progress in real time.
You can also control and oversee authorised charging for your commercial fleet by setting timed and weekly reservation charging. Bind the EV Charger to your phone and reset the password when needed, to prevent theft.
Utilise the smart app to optimise your energy usage by viewing previous charging records and setting maximum monthly charging values. Charging can stop automatically when your EV battery is fully charged, or as programmed by you. You can also keep your charger plugged in and start/stop charging remotely when you’re offsite. Charge during off-peak periods when electricity tariffs are lower and maximise your solar power (turn your charger on remotely when it’s sunny!).

Our single and 3-phase EV chargers will safely operate in environments within a wide temperature range of -25C – 55C, making them suitable for unique and remote environments. Our portable model will operate within a range of -30°C to +50°C.

Dynamic Load Balancing (DLB) balances the demand on your power supply to protect it from overloading while you charge your EV, meaning that you can safely charge simultaneously while using other appliances or machinery at your home or business.
Due to the dynamic load balancing feature, all Plusrite EV chargers are fully-compatible and safe to operate with your existing solar system. Optimise your solar by timing your charging when solar is most available or set your charger to charge using solar only, grid power only, or both.
