The Plusrite AU08-DL13W/S/S is a 13W LED downlight with full remote control over colour temperature and brightness. Switch between warm 3000K and cool 5000K, dim down to 3%, and turn individual circuits on or off — all from a handheld remote or a smartphone via the optional MiLight WiFi controller.

The satin chrome frame complements modern interiors, while the 13W output (950 to 980 lumens) suits living areas, bedrooms, hallways and feature lighting where atmosphere control matters as much as raw brightness.

Where the AU08-DL13W/S/S works best

How the remote control works

The AU-RC-RGBW remote controller (sold separately) communicates with each downlight wirelessly. One remote can pair with up to 100 downlights per circuit, and the remote has 4 independent circuits — meaning a single remote can control up to 400 downlights across 4 zones.

The remote provides:

• On / Off (per circuit and master)
• Brightness up / down (3% to 100%)
• Colour temperature switch (3000K warm / 5000K cool)
• Circuit selection (1 of 4 zones)

For installations with more than 4 zones or for app-based control, add an optional MiLight WiFi controller. This pairs with the same downlights and lets you control them from a smartphone via the MiLight app (available on both Android and iOS).

Is the remote included?

No. The AU-RC-RGBW remote controller is sold as a separate accessory — contact us for current pricing and availability. One remote controls up to 100 downlights per circuit and supports 4 circuits, so a single remote covers most residential installations of any size. Larger installations can use multiple remotes or step up to the MiLight WiFi controller.

Can I control the downlights from my phone?

Yes, with an optional MiLight WiFi controller. The controller pairs with the downlights, connects to your home WiFi, and is controlled via the MiLight app on Android or iOS. You can group downlights into zones, set scenes, and control colour temperature and brightness from your phone.

How many colour temperatures does this downlight produce?

Will it work without the remote?

The downlight will operate as a normal dimmable LED downlight via a compatible wall dimmer without the remote. However, you’ll lose the colour temperature switching feature — that’s only available via the remote or WiFi controller.

What’s the difference between the satin chrome and white versions?

Only the bezel finish. Same LED, same driver, same wattage, same colour temperatures, same dimming behaviour. The satin chrome is a more premium finish for modern interiors; white is the standard choice for most homes.

What size hole do I cut for installation?

90mm cut-out diameter. Confirm against the supplied template before cutting, particularly for installations spanning multiple downlights where consistent hole sizing matters.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating means it’s suitable for bathrooms, laundries and other damp areas. Refer to AS/NZS 3000 for permitted installation zones within wet areas.

What warranty applies?

Five years from the date of purchase when bought direct from Plusrite Australia or an authorised reseller.
