The Plusrite AL-V2 is a compact slim LED area light with field-selectable 25W, 50W and 75W output. Its low-profile die-cast aluminium housing suits car parks, perimeter pathways, signage lighting and any outdoor area where a smaller, lighter fixture is preferred over a full street-light luminaire.

Three wattage settings in one fixture means installers can stock a single SKU across a range of project briefs. Mounted on a 60mm or 76mm pole-top bracket, or wall-mounted via the supplied arm, the AL-25W-50W-75W V2 covers the most common low-to-medium output area lighting needs.

About selectable wattage area lighting

A selectable-wattage slim LED area light is the most flexible specification choice for projects with mixed lighting briefs. The same fixture covers entry lighting at 25W, perimeter and footpath lighting at 50W, and small car park or yard lighting at 75W. That removes the need to stock three discrete fixtures, simplifies inventory for installers and electrical contractors, and makes site-by-site adjustments straightforward during commissioning.

Lumen output and pole spacing

At the 25W setting, the AL-V2 delivers approximately 3,500 lumens which suits low-traffic walkways and entry points at 4 metre mounting heights. The 50W setting raises output to around 7,000 lumens, well-suited to small car parks and footpaths at 5 to 6 metres. At 75W the slim LED area light delivers around 10,500 lumens, which extends pole spacing for medium-sized car parks and longer perimeter runs. Always reference the supplied photometric data when designing for uniformity ratios on commercial projects.

Energy efficiency vs legacy fixtures

This slim LED area light replaces older 70W to 150W metal halide and compact fluorescent fixtures, with energy savings typically between 50 and 70 percent across whole-of-life operation. Combined with reduced maintenance from the 50,000 hour rated LED life, payback on a swap-out program is normally well inside three years for sites running standard dusk-to-dawn schedules. Mounting and orientation tips

The slim LED area light is designed primarily for horizontal mounting on a pole-top arm or wall bracket, but the fixture can be tilted within recommended limits to suit specific aiming angles. Where local councils require strict cut-off characteristics to limit obtrusive light, set the fixture level and rely on the integral optic for distribution rather than tilting.
